Short notice, full house: a hybrid kickoff at Landmark Kanata

DistillerSR called shortly before their 2026 corporate kickoff. We handled the full AV production for both the room and the remote team.

    DistillerSR came to us shortly before their 2026 corporate kickoff at Landmark Cinemas in Kanata, looking for a reliable hybrid setup so both the in-person audience and the remote team could clearly see and hear everything without technical issues.

    The ask

    The brief was specific and the runway was short. They needed a hybrid event that worked for two audiences at once, and they needed it handled by one team rather than stitched together from several. Our team took on full AV support for the event: multi-camera videography, audio, livestream integration, and event photography, all under one roof at Landmark Cinemas Kanata.

    One room, two audiences

    Hybrid events require tight coordination between video, audio, and livestream systems to make the experience smooth for both audiences. That is the whole job. Our team handled all three, along with the photography, so the room at Landmark and the team joining remotely got the same event at the same time.

    What we delivered

    After the event we delivered a full package: a sizzle reel, an event recap video, recordings of the full presentations, and a gallery of high-resolution photos.

    The sizzle reel

    The vertical sizzle reel was built for social and internal sharing: a fast-paced recap that captures the energy of the event through quick cuts, dynamic camera movement, and staff interviews taken after the event. From keynote presentations to team interactions, the goal was to condense the atmosphere of the entire event into a short, engaging highlight. Shot and edited by the team at Capital Arts.

    Working with the team

    Their team was organized and professional, which made the entire production run smoothly from setup through to the live presentations. When clients come prepared and collaborative, delivering a seamless hybrid experience gets a lot easier. It was a pleasure working with Helen and the team at DistillerSR to capture the 2026 corporate kickoff.
